Is Anger Growing Over Remarks Against CM Yogi? Paramhans Acharya Demands Apology from Swami Avimukteshwaranand
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Ayodhya, Feb 3 (NationPress) Rising discontent is evident among Hindu spiritual leaders regarding the remarks attributed to Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, who referred to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as 'Humayun's son Akbar'. Jagatguru Paramhans Acharya, the Peethadheeshwar of Tapasvi Chhavani in Ayodhya, has vehemently criticized this statement, labeling it as highly objectionable and irresponsible, and has called for a public apology from Swami Avimukteshwaranand.
Paramhans Acharya cautioned that if Swami Avimukteshwaranand does not retract his statements and apologize to CM Yogi, he will be barred from entering Ayodhya.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS on Tuesday, Paramhans Acharya articulated that likening Uttar Pradesh’s distinguished Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to Mughal emperors has profoundly offended adherents of Sanatan Dharam.
He emphasized that Yogi Adityanath is not merely the Chief Minister but also the Peethadheeshwar of the Gorakhnath Peeth, and the language directed at him is intolerable and inexcusable.
“From the revered grounds of Ayodhya, the birthplace of Maryada Purushottam Lord Ram, I proclaim that until Swami Avimukteshwaranand retracts his comments and seeks forgiveness from Yogi ji, entry to Ayodhya will be denied to him,” declared Paramhans Acharya.
He praised CM Yogi as the “Sun of Sanatan Dharam” who has made significant efforts to elevate Uttar Pradesh into an ‘Uttam Pradesh’. He noted that while differing opinions are inherent in public discourse, the use of such derogatory language is unacceptable.
Moreover, Paramhans Acharya questioned Swami Avimukteshwaranand’s cow protection initiative, insinuating that it is driven by political motives. He contended that merely designating the cow as ‘Rashtra Mata’ will not guarantee the protection of the entire bovine population.
“Focusing solely on the cow will not halt the slaughter of bulls, calves, and Nandi. This approach cannot be deemed a comprehensive ban on cow slaughter,” he stated, urging the Central and state governments to classify the entire bovine community as national and state heritage to ensure thorough protection.
He further accused Swami Avimukteshwaranand’s cow protection efforts of being orchestrated by the Opposition to undermine the government and are not aligned with the interests of Sanatan Dharam.
Paramhans Acharya has called upon all followers of Sanatan Dharam to socially and religiously boycott Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati until he retracts his statements against CM Yogi and offers an apology.
