New Delhi, May 14 (NationPress) In a devastating event, a three-and-a-half-year-old boy tragically lost his life following a fire that erupted in a residence near the Kasara Bypass in Shahapur village, which is situated in Maharashtra's Thane district.
The blaze reportedly ignited around 8 a.m. on Tuesday at the home of Dattatray Bule.
Witnesses recounted that a group of boys, on their way to play cricket on their motorbikes, first spotted the fire. Noticing the smoke and flames, they quickly halted and attempted to extinguish the fire using any water they could gather from the area.
Due to a lack of water resources, their efforts to control the fire were hampered. During their attempts, one of the boys realized that a child was trapped inside the burning house.
Without hesitation, the boy entered the flames and successfully rescued the child, identified as Krishna Bule. He was swiftly taken to the Kasara Primary Health Centre and subsequently referred to Kharadi Rural Hospital for advanced medical care. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital.
By the time private water tankers arrived, the fire had completely engulfed the home. The Kasara Police indicated that initial investigations point to a potential short circuit as the cause, although the precise reason remains unverified.
The Thane Disaster Management team promptly responded to the scene, with members courageously entering the flames with wet blankets in an effort to extinguish the fire and rescue any individuals still trapped inside.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into this incident, while the local community grapples with the heartbreaking loss of such a young life.
Further assessments are expected to determine the exact cause of the fire and whether any safety protocols were breached.
