The accident occurred close to Sangor village along the Karra-Birda road, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Karra police station, approximately 45 km from Ranchi, the state capital.
As per police reports, 48-year-old Rela Minj, a resident of Malgo village, was traveling with his 20-year-old son Abhishek Minj and his 20-year-old nephew Rohit Minj when he lost control of the bike.
The motorcycle veered off the road and struck a tree with tremendous force, resulting in severe damage to the vehicle and ejecting all three riders.
Upon hearing the deafening impact, local residents rushed to the scene and alerted the police. A team led by Manish Kumar, the officer in charge of the Karra police station, arrived promptly and, with the assistance of villagers, transported the injured to a nearby hospital in Karra. Unfortunately, the medical team declared all three individuals dead upon arrival.
Witnesses informed the police that the motorcycle was being operated at a high speed and that none of the riders were wearing helmets.
As news of the tragedy spread to Malgo village, numerous relatives and community members gathered at the hospital, many visibly distraught. The deceased have been sent to Khunti Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
In a separate incident in Lohardaga town, also in Jharkhand, a 62-year-old named Chandan Bharti was fatally struck by a speeding truck at Powerganj Chowk on the same day.
