Bhopal, March 21 (NationPress) Three bikers tragically lost their lives and five others sustained injuries in different road incidents across Madhya Pradesh.
On Thursday night, a speeding vehicle from Katni struck a motorcyclist, causing his immediate death near the Fuliao Mata Temple on the Damoh-Katni state highway, within the jurisdiction of Hindoria police.
The deceased, identified as Bihari Chaurasia, aged 54, son of Ramnath Chaurasia and a resident of Hindoria, was confirmed dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital.
Officers from the Bandakpur outpost, led by ASI Rajendra Mishra, responded quickly and filed a case against the driver who fled the accident site.
Investigations are currently ongoing.
In a separate occurrence, a reckless trailer truck caused chaos in Barela, Jabalpur, close to Sharda Temple on Thursday afternoon. The truck, traveling from Mandla to Jabalpur, initially collided with a car and subsequently ran over two motorcyclists coming from the opposite direction.
The motorcyclists died instantly, while the car's occupants were injured and transported to the hospital.
A police officer informed IANS that the truck hit the car before striking the motorcycle, dragging it for about 50 meters.
The driver deserted the vehicle and escaped the scene. Authorities are conducting a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
Furthermore, on Friday morning, a head-on collision occurred between two cars near Hathni Pipariya village in Damoh district's Nohata police jurisdiction.
The accident resulted in four people suffering serious injuries, but thankfully no fatalities were reported.
Police in-charge Arvind Singh stated that a man named Aman Rai, 25, from Sagar, was traveling to Jabalpur with his mother, Anita Rai, when their vehicle collided with another car, injuring both.
Occupants of the second vehicle, Lokendra Thakur, 40, and his mother, Neema Singh Thakur, 60, residents of Hinoti Putlighat, were also injured in the crash.
All injured parties were promptly taken to District Hospital Damoh for medical care. The Nohata Police have seized the involved vehicles and initiated an investigation.
