The tragic event occurred around 12:45 a.m., with the impact being so intense that the front end of the car became lodged into the truck.
Local residents, disturbed by the loud noise, rushed to the scene and notified the police. Authorities, using gas cutters and a crane, took nearly two hours to recover the bodies.
All five victims hailed from Patna and surrounding areas, working in the pesticide and agro-products sector.
The deceased have been identified as Rajesh Kumar (50) from Kurji Chashma Gali, Patna; Sanjay Kumar Sinha (55) from Patel Nagar, Patna; Kamal Kishore (38) from Patna; Prakash Chaurasia (35) from Samastipur, now residing in Patna; and Sunil Kumar (38) from Muzaffarpur, also living in Patna.

Rajesh Kumar reportedly owned a well-known agro agency with a broad network in the adjacent districts.
According to initial reports from the Patna Police, the car was traveling at an excessive speed. The truck was either moving slowly or parked by the roadside without proper signaling.
