Patna, Nov 3 (NationPress) Tragically, three individuals lost their lives and three others suffered critical injuries in a road mishap that took place in Bihar’s Vaishali district on Monday morning. The grave incident transpired near Naiper village within the jurisdiction of the Industrial Police Station at approximately 4 a.m.

As reported by the SHO of the Industrial Police Station, a fast-moving luxury vehicle traveling from Purnea to Hajipur collided with the rear of a stationary 16-wheeler truck parked along the roadside. The force of the crash was so tremendous that the car was left in a state of crumpled wreckage.

All victims, both deceased and injured, were part of an exit-poll team engaged in the Bihar Assembly elections.

Local residents rushed to the scene upon hearing the collision and promptly notified the authorities.

Officials from the Industrial Police Station employed a crane to recover the bodies trapped within the vehicle.

The remains were transported to Sadar Hospital in Hajipur for autopsy, while the injured were swiftly taken to the hospital for urgent care.

According to SHO Arvind Paswan, initial investigations indicated that speeding was a key factor in the accident.

“Given that this location is an industrial zone, numerous trucks are parked along the roadside awaiting their turn to load materials. The speeding car struck the truck from behind. The injured are currently in critical condition,” he stated, confirming that an official inquiry has commenced.

The injured individuals have been identified as Pushpa Chaudhary (28), a resident of Milki village, Hajipur; Shalini Verma (26), from Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh; and Kapil Kumar (24), also a Sitapur native.

“The victims were traveling from the Purnea direction. We suspect that the driver may have dozed off for a brief moment, causing this tragic accident,” Paswan commented.

“We have identified the victims and have informed their family members about the incident,” he added.

A tense atmosphere has taken hold in the area following this unfortunate event.
