Jaipur, Oct 22 (NationPress) A tragic road incident resulted in the loss of four lives and left three individuals in critical condition after a speeding Thar vehicle crashed into three motorcycles on NH-52 in the Chomu region of Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Wednesday.

The victims were on their way home after visiting the Khatushyam temple in Sikar district.

According to Pradeep Sharma, the officer in charge of Chomu Police Station, the collision occurred around 3 a.m. near the Rampura culvert.

“A Thar traveling at excessive speed lost control and collided with three motorcycles in front of it. One individual was killed instantly, while six others suffered serious injuries,” he stated.

The force of the impact was so intense that the motorcycles were utterly crushed beneath the Thar.

Local bystanders hurried to the scene and alerted the authorities.

The injured were initially taken to Chomu Government Hospital and later transferred to SMS Hospital, Jaipur, for advanced medical care. Unfortunately, three of the injured, including a woman, passed away during transit, raising the fatality count to four.

Authorities indicated that all seven victims were from the same family and lived in Nangal Jaisa Bohra within the Kardhani police precinct of Jaipur.

The deceased have been identified as Virendra Srivastava (55), originally from Varanasi, Sunil Srivastava (50), Lucky Srivastava (30), and Shweta Srivastava (26).

The injured parties include Avinash (30), Raunak (3), and Sangeeta.

They are currently receiving treatment at SMS Hospital, where their conditions have been described as critical.

The police have seized the Thar involved in the accident and initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the crash, suspected to involve overspeeding and reckless driving.
