Jaipur, Oct 28 (NationPress) A tragic incident occurred in the Manoharpur area of Shahpura, Jaipur district, where three individuals from Uttar Pradesh lost their lives and ten others sustained injuries after a bus came into contact with a high-voltage power line on Tuesday.
Initial investigations indicate that the bus, which was transporting laborers to a brick kiln in Todi village, accidentally brushed against the overhead high-tension wire.
The resulting impact ignited a fire within the bus, leading to the explosion of several gas cylinders stored on board, which exacerbated the situation.
Local residents immediately rushed to assist in rescuing the passengers trapped inside the bus.
Five individuals suffering from critical injuries were transferred to Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur, while others are currently receiving medical treatment at the Shahpura Sub-District Hospital.
Governor Haribhau Bagde conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the affected families, expressing sorrow over the tragic accident and praying for their strength to endure this loss, as well as for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma labeled the loss of life in the Manoharpur bus tragedy as “extremely tragic”.
He has instructed officials to ensure that all injured individuals receive appropriate medical care and has offered prayers for peace for the deceased and a swift recovery for the injured.
“The news of the loss of lives in the bus accident at Manoharpur, Jaipur, is profoundly saddening.
