Trailer Unveiled for Gautham Menon’s Debut Malayalam Film 'Dominic and The Ladies Purse'

Chennai, Jan 8 (NationPress) Renowned filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon has released the trailer for his first Malayalam movie, 'Dominic and The Ladies Purse', featuring Malayalam cinema legend Mammootty in the central role.

The trailer showcases Mammootty portraying a self-important detective named Dominic, who operates the Dominic Detective Agency. Dominic comes across as a character who loves to highlight his own achievements, often boasting about his abilities to his novice assistant (played by Gokul Suresh), who is in awe of his every move. The story takes a twist when a senior relative of Dominic discovers an unclaimed ladies purse at a hospital and requests him to locate its owner. What begins as a straightforward investigation soon becomes complicated.
The trailer hints that the film will be both suspenseful and highly enjoyable, with the boastful detective adding a comedic touch.
Set to hit theaters on January 23, this film has generated significant buzz as it marks Gautham Vasudev Menon’s directorial debut in Malayalam cinema. The project is produced by Mammootty’s own production company, MammoottyKampany.
In addition to Mammootty in the lead role, the film will showcase a talented ensemble cast including Gokul Suresh, Sushmita Bhat, Viji Venkitesh, Vineeth, and Vijay Babu in significant roles.
The film's music is composed by Darbuka Siva, who previously worked on Gautham Menon’s Ennai Noki Paayum Thota. The cinematography is handled by Vishnu R Dev and the editing is done by Anthony.
