Washington, March 7 (NationPress) - US President Donald Trump asserted that American military actions have markedly degraded Iran's military capabilities, claiming the nation’s military framework has been significantly damaged amidst rising tensions in the area.

During a roundtable discussion on college athletics at the White House, Trump was prompted to comment on the situation in Iran while discussing global issues.

“Iran, we’re performing exceptionally well,” Trump stated. “If someone were to ask me to rate it from 0 to 10, I'd say it's a 12 to a 15.”

Trump emphasized that US military interventions have heavily impacted Iran’s armed forces, particularly its navy and communication systems. “Their army is decimated… their navy is obliterated, their communications are in ruins, and their leaders are diminished,” he commented.

He went on to declare that Iran’s air force has also been severely weakened and that numerous tiers of military leadership have been taken out. “They’re down to their third tier,” Trump remarked, alluding to the Iranian command structure.

Furthermore, Trump asserted that Iran's naval fleet has been annihilated during the military campaign. “They possess 32 ships. All 32 are now at the bottom of the ocean,” he added.

The president commended the US military's performance, stating that recent operations have showcased American strength and capabilities.

“Our military is performing remarkably well,” Trump noted. “People are greatly impressed by our military.”

He also referenced prior US aerial operations targeting Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Trump expressed that the United States faced a pivotal choice: to continue enduring attacks from Iranian-supported factions or to take decisive military action.

“We faced a choice,” Trump said. “We could tolerate it and continue for years or take action, and we chose to respond.”

He accused Iranian officials of orchestrating assaults that resulted in casualties among American personnel using improvised explosive devices.

“They were responsible for a significant number of deaths, many of our people were harmed,” Trump declared. “They caused severe injuries… individuals left without limbs or with horrendous facial injuries.”

Trump characterized Iran’s leadership as “a very detrimental and disturbed group” and asserted that US intervention was imperative to halt these attacks.

He further posited that the military initiative has enhanced the global view of American power.

“Currently, I believe our country is more respected than it has ever been,” Trump asserted.

He concluded by stating that despite various global crises, he remains focused on domestic matters, including reforms in college athletics.

“While it may not appear significant compared to the situation in Iran and elsewhere,” Trump said, “it holds great importance to me.”
