Washington, March 14 (NationPress) - President Donald Trump announced that military actions against Iran are proceeding effectively, asserting that U.S. forces have achieved significant victories as tensions escalate in the Middle East.

While addressing reporters at Joint Base Andrews on Friday, Trump characterized the military initiative as successful, indicating that Iran's military capabilities had been notably diminished.

"Things are progressing well in Iran. We've had a number of significant victories today, as you've likely heard from military reports," Trump stated. "I believe the situation is under control and advancing positively."

The president emphasized that these operations are focused on neutralizing what he views as a nuclear threat posed by Iran.

"It was essential to address the nuclear threat in the Middle East and globally, and we are on track to achieve that," he asserted.

Trump further claimed that Iran's military has suffered substantial losses during the conflict.

"We are in a position of dominance unprecedented in recent history," he remarked when questioned about the potential for unconditional surrender.

"Their Navy has been decimated, their Air Force is virtually non-existent, and most of their military capabilities have been severely compromised. The major threats they posed have been neutralized," he added.

Additionally, he asserted that Iranian air defense and radar systems are largely incapacitated.

"They lack effective radar and most anti-aircraft capabilities," Trump noted, stating that "almost everything has been taken out, and this will be evident soon enough."

When asked about the conflict's duration, Trump refrained from providing a specific timeline but insisted that the operation is advancing more swiftly than anticipated.

"I can't share that. I have my own estimates, but what purpose does that serve?" he explained. "It will last as long as necessary... I will say this, we are significantly ahead of our timeline."

The president also suggested that the conflict could impact global energy prices, predicting a decline in costs once stability returns.

"I believe your gas prices will drop significantly as soon as this situation is resolved, along with other energy costs," Trump said.

He confirmed discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping about the ongoing situation.

"Yes, I have communicated with him. We are engaging in various discussions, not limited to this issue," he added.

Trump acknowledged ongoing dialogue with Israeli leaders but noted that the United States and Israel may have slightly divergent strategic goals.

"Their objectives may differ somewhat; after all, they are a different nation than we are," he stated regarding coordination with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Nevertheless, he underscored the unmatched military power of the United States.

"He will affirm that the power of the United States is unmatched in history," Trump remarked.

These comments surfaced amidst escalating tensions in the Gulf region and growing concerns regarding critical shipping routes like the Strait of Hormuz, through which approximately one-fifth of the world's oil supply is transported.
