Washington, March 10 (NationPress) President Donald Trump stated that the US military initiative against Iran would conclude "very soon," characterizing victory as the moment when Tehran lacks the ability to manufacture weapons that could pose a threat to the United States, Israel, or its allies.

During a news conference in Florida, Trump asserted that the military operation had already incapacitated significant aspects of Iran's military strength and leadership.

"No. But I think soon," Trump responded when questioned about the potential duration of the conflict. "Very soon."

He further explained that the US had substantially diminished Iran's military framework, including its naval forces, missile systems, and drone capabilities.

"Everything they possess is gone, including their leadership," he emphasized.

"In fact, there are two tiers of leadership, and as it turns out, even more than that."

The president noted that US and Israeli forces had targeted thousands of locations throughout the operation.

"We've struck over 5,000 targets to date," Trump remarked, adding that the Iranian navy had suffered significant losses. "Most of Iran's naval power has been sunk," he stated.

He mentioned that US forces were also focused on dismantling the country's drone and missile production networks.

"Their missile capability is down to about 10 percent, maybe even less," he asserted.

"Their drone production has been targeted starting today."

Despite declaring the campaign largely successful, Trump indicated that the US could escalate military actions if necessary.

"We've reserved some of the most critical targets for later if we deem it necessary to act," he said.

"If we strike them, it will take many years for them to be reconstructed."

When asked what would signify a final victory, Trump clarified that the objective was to eradicate Iran's ability to create weapons that could threaten the United States or its allies.

"When I can see that they will no longer have any capacity whatsoever for a very long period to develop weaponry that could be used against the United States, Israel, or any of our allies," he explained.

Trump also cautioned Iran against trying to disrupt global energy supplies through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital oil shipping route.

"The Strait of Hormuz is going to remain secure," he assured. "We have numerous Navy ships present there."

The United States initiated significant strikes against Iranian targets earlier this month as part of a collaborative military operation with Israel aimed at diminishing Tehran's military and nuclear capabilities.
