Jalgaon, March 3 (NationPress) - In Maharashtra, the police in Jalgaon have apprehended three individuals and detained a minor linked to the harassment of Union Minister Raksha Khadse’s daughter. The distressing incident took place last Friday. According to police sources, the arrested individuals are Aniket Bhoyi, Kiran Mali, Anuj Patil, along with a minor. Authorities have filed charges against seven suspects and are actively searching for additional individuals connected to this case. The investigation was initiated following a complaint lodged by the security personnel of Minister Khadse in the early hours of Saturday.

The arrests were made after Union Minister Khadse expressed her deep concern regarding the incident, stating, 'If the daughter of a Union Minister and an MP is subjected to molestation, what about the safety of others?' She also reached out to CM Fadnavis demanding stringent action against the perpetrators.

Following discussions with Minister Khadse on Sunday, CM Fadnavis acknowledged the incident as regrettable, hinting at the possible involvement of activists from a specific political party. He affirmed that regardless of political connections, robust action would be enforced against those responsible.

Minister Khadse, along with her father-in-law and NCP(SP) legislator Eknath Khadse, suggested that the activists of the Shiv Sena from Muktainagar were associated with the harassment. Raksha Khadse explained, 'This incident unfolded on Friday during the holy fair of Sant Muktabai, coinciding with Maha Shivratri. I was in Gujarat when my daughter expressed her desire to attend the fair. I advised her to take a security guard and friends due to the large crowds. However, upon arrival, they were pursued by some miscreants. Although our security guard attempted to assist, the miscreants continued to harass and even pushed him. It is crucial that serious actions are undertaken whenever complaints are raised, regardless of who is in power.'

She went on to state that the miscreants were recording videos of the incident, which were ultimately erased due to the intervention of the security guard.

Despite Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ commitment to enforce strong measures against those involved, the opposition has resolved to address this matter on the opening day of the upcoming four-week budget session, commencing on Monday.

The opposition parties, including Congress, NCP(SP), and Shiv Sena(UBT), have criticized the state government, accusing it of failing to prevent the escalation of crimes against women. State Congress chief Harshwardhan Sapkal attributed the rising chaos to the Mahayuti government and called for CM Devendra Fadnavis’s resignation.
