Srinagar, July 18 (NationPress) The spokesperson for the Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Altaf Thakur, expressed his approval on Thursday regarding the United States' decision to label The Resistance Front (TRF) as a global terrorist organization. He described this action as not only a “victory for truth” but also a significant “diplomatic achievement for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's foreign policy”.
Thakur emphasized that this decision signifies an increasing global recognition of India's persistent stance against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
He stated, “The US blacklisting TRF is a direct result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decisive and focused diplomatic efforts on the global stage. It demonstrates that the world is now listening to India and responding to its concerns.”
Referring to Pakistan as the “undisputed headquarters of global jihad,” Thakur claimed that TRF is merely a rebranded version of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) -- a creation of Pakistan's ISI to perpetuate its proxy war in Jammu and Kashmir.
He remarked, “Pakistan's tactic of rebranding terrorists to evade international sanctions has failed. This decision unveils its strategy.”
The BJP spokesperson criticized Pakistan for its ongoing support of terrorists who have wreaked havoc in Kashmir and beyond.
He stressed, “This ban is a blow to Pakistan, which has perfected the art of exporting terrorism under new guises. The facade has been removed.”
Thakur commended PM Modi's foreign policy for effectively isolating Pakistan internationally.
He noted, “Under PM Modi's leadership, India's global standing has improved, and its battle against terrorism has transformed into a worldwide campaign. This US action is a direct consequence of India's assertive diplomacy.”
Thakur urged the global community to take further action beyond mere designations, advocating for stringent sanctions on TRF's operatives, their financial backers, and their handlers based in Pakistan.
He concluded, “Terrorism has no name or religion, and the world must unite to dismantle Pakistan's terror apparatus piece by piece.”
Thakur added that this US announcement serves as a significant morale boost for India's security forces and the residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
He declared, “This marks the beginning of the end for deceptive fronts like TRF. We will not rest until we have eradicated every last terror group and its sponsors. This is the New India -- strong, assertive, and internationally respected.”
