How Did Varun Dhawan Ensure ‘Border 2’ Director Included His Recommended ‘Real Moment’?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Dec 16 (NationPress) Bollywood star Varun Dhawan, who is preparing for his forthcoming film ‘Border 2’, has revealed an intriguing story regarding how he ensured that a specific dialogue from the movie was included. He sought some assistance from Sunny Deol.
The actor participated in the teaser launch of the film on Tuesday, where he engaged with the media and discussed the script enhancement, emphasizing the importance of retaining that particular line.
While filming, Varun and the crew heard a battle cry from trainees at the academy where a segment of the film was shot. The actor recounted that a senior officer at the academy shouted to motivate the trainees, asking, “Awaaz kahan tak jaani chaahiye? Lahore tak (Where should the voice reach? It should reach Lahore).”
Reflecting on this moment, Varun shared with the media, “I believed we had to incorporate this part. If it wasn’t written down, it would not have been added to the script. I then approached Sunny sir and whispered, ‘Sir, please consider this; it’s a significant and authentic moment. Make sure to include it.’”
He added, “That's why I only used it in the teaser. I had no idea if it would resonate, so I followed Sunny paaji. I can't express how it felt; it gave me goosebumps. The trainer’s voice was so powerful, I felt it could indeed travel to Lahore.”
