Chennai, Sep 25 (NationPress) Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) founder and renowned actor Vijay has revamped and broadened his highly anticipated Tamil Nadu tour, incorporating select Sundays into his original Saturday-only itinerary and extending it well into 2026.

According to TVK sources, this adjustment is indicative of Vijay's intention to enhance his grassroots engagement ahead of his upcoming significant electoral challenge.

Vijay, who established TVK earlier this year after officially entering the political arena, commenced his inaugural statewide tour on September 13 in Ariyalur, located in the Tiruchirappalli district, completing the initial phase on September 20 in Nagapattinam and Thiruvarur.

Originally scheduled to conclude on December 20, the tour will now extend into early 2026, aiming to encompass nearly every prominent district in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

As per the updated timetable, Vijay is set to visit Namakkal and Karur districts on September 27.

His October itinerary includes trips to Vellore and Ranipet on the 5th, Puducherry and Cuddalore on the 11th, Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli on the 18th, and Tiruppur and Erode on the 25th.

In November, Vijay plans to campaign across Perambalur and Kallakurichi on the 1st, Krishnagiri and Tirupattur on the 8th, Villupuram and Thiruvannamalai on the 15th, Salem and Dharmapuri on the 22nd, and Thanjavur and Mayiladuthurai on the 29th.

December’s agenda includes Pudukottai and Dindigul on the 7th, Sivagangai and Ramanathapuram on the 13th, and Thiruvallur and Kancheepuram on the 20th.

The extended phase in early 2026 will see Vijay visiting Madurai, Theni, Kanyakumari, Tenkasi, Virudhunagar, Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Chengalpattu, and Chennai.

Party insiders have noted that this alteration signifies TVK’s commitment to establishing a robust, district-level presence and energizing their base ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections.

Vijay’s foray into politics has spurred considerable excitement throughout the state.

His TVK, perceived as a viable alternative to the dominant Dravidian parties, DMK and AIADMK, has drawn substantial crowds during its initial public gatherings.

The star, recognized for incorporating social themes into his films, emphasized that “the time has come to translate words into action” as he inaugurated TVK with a focus on change, anti-corruption, and youth empowerment.

Political analysts observe that prolonging the tour will enable Vijay to solidify support and tackle a variety of local issues, ranging from employment and agriculture to urban development.

This strategy also positions TVK as a formidable contender capable of maintaining momentum beyond mere celebrity allure. Party leaders assert that the expanded itinerary is merely the start of a long-term grassroots engagement strategy.
