Mumbai, Nov 21 (NationPress) Actor Vivan Bhathena, who portrays a soldier in the newly released film ‘120 Bahadur’, revealed insights from his co-star Farhan Akhtar regarding his experiences in Ladakh.
In an interview with IANS during the film's promotional activities, Vivan explained the contrasting experiences he had in Ladakh. He faced the demands of a physically challenging role while being awestruck by the stunning landscapes of Ladakh.
He shared, “Farhan described Ladakh to us when we arrived, stating, ‘This place changes you. It makes you realize how small and insignificant you are in the grand scheme of things.’ This sentiment rings true. It truly humbles you. It’s a strikingly beautiful yet harsh environment. It appears picturesque, but one misstep could be fatal. The terrain is barren and desolate, with fierce winds, storms, and rugged rocks that challenge you at every turn.”
Vivan praised the bravery of the soldiers in the Indian National Army, who endure extreme conditions to secure our borders in these isolated areas.
He continued, “Our soldiers tackle these harsh environments daily. For us, it was a test of our resilience as men, proving we could endure. Initially, we struggled to walk 400 meters without needing water. Yet, by the end of two months, we were able to cover eight kilometers nightly, training to build the stamina necessary for our fight scenes. This journey transformed us.”
“We pushed our limits, walking as fast as we could, striving to breathe deeper to maximize oxygen intake. Our breathing patterns, strength, and endurance evolved. This experience taught us that with hard work, anyone can transform and overcome challenges, regardless of the circumstances,” he concluded.
