New Delhi, Dec 28 (NationPress) The Vice President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, is set to embark on a two-day journey covering Puducherry, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu starting this Monday, as confirmed by an official.
On December 29, the Vice President will be part of a civic reception, unveil a statue of Mahakavi Bharathiar, and initiate a housing project under the Smart City Mission in Puducherry.
He will also serve as the Chief Guest at the 30th Convocation of Pondicherry University, located in Puducherry.

On December 30, Radhakrishnan will take part in the 93rd Sivagiri Pilgrimage at Varkala, Kerala.
Additionally, he will inaugurate a public meeting marking the conclusion of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of Mar Ivanios College in Thiruvananthapuram.
Later that same day, he will be the Chief Guest at the valedictory ceremony of the Kashi-Tamil Sangamam 4.0 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu.
Earlier, while addressing a national conclave focused on Artificial Intelligence, Radhakrishnan emphasized that India possesses the necessary talent, vision, and values to responsibly adopt AI and lead its global evolution.
He asserted that AI must always prioritize serving humanity, guided by strong ethical standards.
“India has emerged among the leading nations in Artificial Intelligence,” the Vice President stated.
His remarks were delivered at the Flagship National Conclave on ‘AI Evolution – The Mahakumbh of AI’, organized by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in partnership with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Outlook magazine at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre.
“Artificial intelligence is no longer a technology of the future, but a present reality, already impacting sectors such as healthcare, climate studies, governance, education, finance, and national security,” he remarked.
He cautioned against fear and negativity surrounding new technologies, reflecting on similar concerns raised when computers were first introduced.
“In time, computers transformed the world and created new opportunities,” he noted, emphasizing that every technological evolution brings both advantages and challenges.
“The essential factor is to employ technology positively and constructively,” Radhakrishnan elaborated.
Reiterating India’s strengthening position in Artificial Intelligence, the Vice President highlighted that the country has emerged as a front-runner in this domain.
