New Delhi, Oct 30 (NationPress) The Vice President, C.P. Radhakrishnan, is set to embark on a brief yet significant trip to Varanasi, located in Uttar Pradesh, this Friday. He will pay homage at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, according to an official announcement.
During his visit, he will preside over the inauguration of the newly constructed Satram Building at Sigra, receiving the honor of Chief Guest alongside Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The statement revealed that the Sri Kasi Nattukkottai Nagara Satram Managing Society has invested Rs 60 crores in this impressive 10-storey structure, which boasts 140 rooms.
This is the second Satram established by the Society in Varanasi, designed to cater to the needs of visiting devotees and to inspire younger generations to explore this sacred city.
This project symbolizes the enduring spiritual and cultural ties between Kashi and Tamil Nadu, representing the profound Kashi-Tamil connection in the spirit of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat.
After the inauguration, the Vice President will visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple to offer his prayers.
Previously, Radhakrishnan wrapped up his Tamil Nadu visit on Thursday, where he participated in several events across Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Madurai, and Ramanathapuram from October 28 to 30.
On his final day in Tamil Nadu, he visited Pasumpon in the Ramanathapuram District to pay his respects to the esteemed leader Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar on his jayanti and Guru Pooja.
The Vice President praised Muthuramalinga Thevar as a remarkable warrior, an unyielding fighter, a respected saint, and a devoted patriot who committed his life to the service of the nation and its citizens.
He acknowledged Muthuramalinga Thevar as a devoted follower of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, embodying courage, sacrifice, and patriotism in both thought and action. The Vice President emphasized Muthuramalinga Thevar's role as a leader for all communities and faiths.
Expressing his gratitude, the Vice President mentioned his long-standing participation in the Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar Jayanthi and Guru Pooja over the past 25 years, and he conveyed his joy at being part of this year’s celebrations during his inaugural visit to Tamil Nadu after taking office.
