New Delhi, Aug 19 (NationPress) On Tuesday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to deliver a message and an invitation from President Xi Jinping for the upcoming SCO Summit set to take place in Tianjin later this month.
During his two-day visit, Wang Yi, a member of the Communist Party's Politburo, expressed his optimistic view of the bilateral discussions held with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and the 24th Meeting of the Special Representatives, which he co-chaired alongside National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
After their meeting, PM Modi shared on X, "I was pleased to meet Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Since my encounter with President Xi in Kazan last year, India-China relations have progressed steadily, based on mutual respect for each other's interests.
