Kolkata, Feb 14 (NationPress) A young man was apprehended on Friday in Baruipur, located in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, accused of raping a minor girl over several days. He allegedly threatened her with the release of her private photos and the possibility of an acid attack on her face.
The victim's parents filed a complaint, stating that their daughter had been too terrified of the acid threat to disclose the traumatic ordeal she had been enduring for an extended period.
According to sources, the girl finally revealed her suffering to her parents after reaching a breaking point on Thursday night.
The police report from the victim's family detailed that the suspect had taken private images of her and blackmailed her by threatening to make them public if she spoke out.
The simultaneous fear of an acid assault and blackmail resulted in her prolonged silence.
However, upon discovering that a personal photo had been shared on social media, she decided to share her distressing experiences with her parents.
