New Delhi, Dec 29 (NationPress) 2025 has become a pivotal year in the landscape of India’s governance, according to Akhilesh Mishra, CEO of BlueKraft Digital Foundation. He emphasized that this year has witnessed profound and irreversible changes across various sectors including the economy, labor, energy, and welfare, marking a critical phase in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration.
Mishra elaborated that the focus in 2025 is not on minor adjustments, but on reversing years of hesitation in economic decision-making.
"The adjustments implemented in 2025 indicate a significant transformation in the manner the Indian government oversees taxation, labor regulations, capital management, land usage, and welfare initiatives, achieved without turmoil, coercion, or favoritism," he stated in a post on social media platform X.
One of the most notable changes mentioned by Mishra is the introduction of GST 2.0, which he characterized as a transition from tax confusion to tax confidence.
"The revamped structure, featuring fewer tax brackets and safeguards for essential items, has enhanced compliance and stimulated consumption," he noted.
Mishra acknowledged Prime Minister Modi for mending the trust deficit between the central and state governments that existed prior to GST's implementation.
He also pointed out the exemption of income up to Rs 12 lakh from taxation, labeling it as a significant relief for the aspiring middle class.
This initiative has alleviated fear, reduced paperwork, and minimized harassment, while simultaneously increasing disposable income and boosting consumption.
"Even with lower tax rates, direct tax revenues have reached unprecedented levels, proving that people are more compliant when they feel trusted," Mishra remarked.
Addressing energy reforms, he noted that the SHANTI Bill has resolved the long-standing stagnation in India’s nuclear energy sector by permitting regulated private involvement.
"This reform was long overdue and is set to enhance clean energy production, energy security, and strategic autonomy, all while maintaining sovereign oversight," Mishra added.
He also underscored labor reforms as a major success, stating that the unification of outdated labor laws into four modern codes has improved worker dignity and promoted job creation.
Furthermore, he highlighted provisions such as social security for gig workers and simplified compliance processes as a clear move away from the traditional inspector raj.
