New Delhi, Jan 7 (NationPress) As the global appetite for safe, traceable, sustainable, and ethically sourced food continues to grow, the ninth iteration of ‘Indusfood 2026’ is poised to be a pivotal platform that links Indian producers with worldwide markets, as announced by the government on Wednesday.
This flagship global food and beverage (F&B) sourcing exhibition is slated to occur from January 8-10 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. Among the prominent attendees of ‘Indusfood 2026’ will be distinguished global delegations, including trade association leaders from Turkey, Worldchefs President Chef Andy Cuthbert, and Asia Continental Director Chef Willment Leong, alongside senior government officials and retail representatives from Fiji representing major supermarket chains.
The Ministry has stated that the event will unite leading Indian food producers, international buyers, policymakers, industry leaders, and global institutions on one platform to promote trade collaborations, bilateral interactions, and enduring partnerships.
Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan will formally inaugurate the event, showcasing the government's commitment to bolstering India’s food processing ecosystem, boosting export competitiveness, and widening global market access for Indian food products.
A significant highlight of Indusfood 2026 will be the introduction of initiatives such as the India–UAE Food Corridor by the Abu Dhabi Food Hub, aimed at enhancing food security, optimizing supply chains, and accelerating bilateral food trade.
Another noteworthy feature will be the celebration of the 75-year milestone by Saudi Arabian exhibitor Alsalan, underscoring Saudi Arabia’s rich food trade history and its strengthening relationship with India. ‘Indusfood 2026’ will also include dedicated global business and logistics platforms.
Additionally, the exhibition will feature international tasting and innovation platforms, including special tasting sessions, as noted by the ministry.
