Ahmedabad, Aug 14 (NationPress) — In a pivotal advancement for India's international school sports landscape, the International Schools Sports Organisation (ISSO) announced its partnership with the Adani International School on Thursday, aimed at enriching the country's sports education framework for schools aligned with global standards.

Namrata Adani, the Promoter of Adani International School, is now a member of the ISSO Advisory Board and is spearheading efforts to actively influence the organization's vision and long-term objectives.

“We are thrilled to have Namrata Adani and the Adani Group join us in our common mission to empower youth through sports. Over the years, ISSO has developed a structured pathway for students in international schools, enabling them to thrive in competitive sports — from grassroots initiatives to national and international competitions,” stated Aakanksha Thapak, Director of ISSO.

“With Mrs. Adani’s visionary leadership, this collaboration promises to further enhance the ecosystem we've built. Together, we anticipate unlocking new sporting opportunities and inspiring countless young athletes across international schools,” Thapak added.

Adani International School, known for its commitment to comprehensive student growth, will assist ISSO in expanding sporting infrastructure, refining athlete training, and encouraging participation in global competitions. The school’s focus on blending academic achievement with physical education aligns perfectly with ISSO’s mission to cultivate well-rounded student-athletes.

“We find ourselves at a transformative juncture in India’s educational and sporting realms,” remarked Namrata Adani in a statement.

“Through this partnership, we aspire to create inclusive, future-ready institutions that empower students to excel academically and athletically. It is a privilege to assist ISSO in forging a structured, globally recognized sports culture for international schools in India,” she added.

Founded in 2017, ISSO is the sole dedicated sports organization in India for international curriculum schools affiliated with globally esteemed boards such as the International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge, Edexcel, and the US-based National School Boards Association (NSBA).

With over 430 member schools, 22 sports disciplines, and more than 300 tournaments held annually, ISSO has positively impacted over 22,000 students, setting the benchmark for excellence in school-level sports.

ISSO’s collaborations with key national and international sports entities, such as the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) and the International School Sport Federation (ISF), have enabled Indian students to compete at top-tier levels.

Through its specialized division, the International Board School Sports Organisation (IBSO), ISSO has facilitated thousands of students in reaching elite events like the SGFI Nationals, Khelo India Games, the Subroto Cup, and even the ISF World Championships.

The partnership between Adani International School and ISSO emphasizes a renewed dedication to structured, transparent, and professionally managed competitions, which can also assist in global university admissions through comprehensive student-athlete profiling.
