The commencement of AirPods production is expected by April at the Foxconn facility located in Hyderabad.
As of now, there has been no formal announcement from Apple.
In 2024, India’s True Wireless Stereo (TWS) market saw shipments increase by 14 percent year-over-year, as reported by the latest Counterpoint research. This surge in shipments has been fueled by seasonal promotional events, budget-friendly products, and an expanded application usage alongside improved channel accessibility.
While leveraging the government’s production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme, Apple has achieved record-breaking iPhone export figures from India, reaching Rs 1 lakh crore within the first 10 months (April-January) of the ongoing financial year (FY25).
As per industry statistics, January alone saw iPhone exports soar to approximately Rs 19,000 crore, marking an unprecedented high. Overall iPhone exports from India have seen an increase of over 30 percent during the first 10 months of this fiscal year (April-January 2025) compared to the corresponding period last fiscal (Rs 76,000 crore).
