New Delhi, March 18 (NationPress) The Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, India’s premier global conference and exhibition dedicated to the power and electricity sectors, is set to gather international energy leaders to discuss vital priorities that are shaping the nation’s evolving electricity landscape, as announced by the government on Wednesday.
The event will take place from March 19 to 22 at Yashobhoomi, uniting senior policymakers, regulators, academic experts, utility providers, investors, innovators, and industry leaders for high-level technical discussions, according to an official statement.
With the theme “Electrifying Growth. Empowering Sustainability. Connecting Globally.”, the summit promises an extensive agenda that includes strategic conferences, technical discussions, leadership panels, and focused industry interactions designed to influence the future trajectory of the global electricity sector.
Anticipating over 100 high-level sessions, the summit will feature more than 300 speakers and representatives from upwards of 80 countries, alongside over 500 exhibitors, including more than 100 startups.
Over 25,000 attendees are expected, positioning this event as one of the largest platforms globally focused on electricity.
The summit will emphasize vendor development in line with the 'Make in India' initiative, prioritizing the indigenization of cross emission systems, solar energy, energy storage solutions, transmission infrastructure, and digital distribution technologies, as highlighted in the Ministry of Power's statement.
The government underscored investment opportunities exceeding Rs 50 lakh crore in generation, transmission, distribution, and storage sectors through 2032.
Engagement from state governments is expected to foster essential dialogue aimed at bolstering India’s electricity framework, speeding up renewable energy integration, modernizing grid infrastructure, and improving power distribution efficiency nationwide.
The exhibition, covering an area of over 20,000 square meters, will display innovative technologies, advancements, and solutions across the electricity value chain.
The exhibition will be organized in thematic zones that encompass power generation, transmission, renewable and clean energy, energy storage, distribution, and smart grid technologies, along with dedicated sections for energy innovation, startups, and emerging technologies, according to the statement.
Participants from over 80 countries will be present, reflecting the increasing global interest in India’s rapidly transforming power sector and its emerging role in facilitating a resilient, affordable, and sustainable energy transition, as noted in the statement.
