New Delhi, Feb 10 (NationPress) The Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, confirmed on Monday that India Energy Week 2025 (IEW 25), recognized as the second-largest global energy event in terms of participation from ministers and CEOs, is set to commence on Tuesday, February 11 at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka in the national capital.

This pivotal energy conference, organized by the Government of India, will take place from February 11 to 14 and will feature over 700 exhibitors, alongside 10 pavilions from various nations, including the US, UK, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Russia, all presenting innovative technology.

The event will comprise eight thematic zones, aiming to serve as a premier platform for advancing global energy discussions, showcasing cutting-edge innovations, and promoting international partnerships towards a sustainable energy future.

IEW 2025 provides a space where global stakeholders can engage in meaningful exchanges about collaboration on essential energy initiatives, encompassing green hydrogen technologies, solar advancements, and innovative exploration techniques.

Prominent Indian energy ministries, including the Ministry of Power, MNRE, NITI Aayog, and the Ministry of Mines, will also participate, reflecting India’s dedication to integrated energy solutions.

The Sustainable Mobility Pavilion, organized by SIAM, will highlight 15 innovative vehicle models from 10 manufacturing companies under the theme "People-Centric Mobility Ecosystem".

The minister encouraged attendees to delve into groundbreaking technologies developed by Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

Significant exhibits include ONGC's deep-sea simulation game, HPCL's indigenous Solid Oxide Fuel Cell System, BPCL's LPG cylinder ATM, and CSIR's e-tractor for sustainable agriculture.

On the sidelines of IEW 2025, the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas will facilitate a Clean Cooking Ministerial, gathering global policymakers, industry leaders, and experts to expedite the transition to clean cooking solutions.

This event will highlight India's achievements with the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) as a global model for adoption.

The goal is to enhance international collaboration, stimulate policy discussions, and promote technology sharing to ensure clean, affordable, and accessible cooking energy for households worldwide.

IEW will surpass previous editions with remarkable global participation, featuring over 20 Foreign Energy Ministers and Deputy Ministers from advanced economies, major energy producers, and pivotal nations from the global south.

The conference will also host leaders from significant international organizations and 90 CEOs from some of the world’s largest Fortune 500 energy firms, according to a statement from the Ministry.

IEW 2025 will incorporate seven strategic themes: Collaboration, Resilience, Transition, Capacity, Digital Frontiers, Innovation, Leadership, with a stronger focus on practical solutions for decarbonization, energy equity, and low-carbon economies.

The inclusion of 20 thematic categories this year, up from 18 in 2024, signifies a broader emphasis on contemporary issues such as AI, digitalization, and maritime decarbonization.

The structured stages of the conference—Resilience and Transition—are perfectly aligned with India’s dual objectives of energy independence and decarbonization, ensuring alignment with both global and national priorities.
