New Delhi, Jan 23 (NationPress) The upcoming India Energy Week 2026 (IEW 2026) is poised to be a pivotal event, facilitating significant business collaborations and the signing of numerous key agreements and memoranda of understanding during its duration in Goa from January 27-30, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri announced on Friday.
Puri highlighted that a variety of essential side events and roundtable discussions will be held alongside the main conference. Notably, the 9th Prime Minister’s Roundtable will feature Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaging with global CEOs, as well as leaders from Indian public and private sectors, including top executives from major international energy and technology firms.
This landmark event is anticipated to attract global energy ministers, industry leaders, policymakers, financial entities, academics, and technology innovators at a crucial juncture for the worldwide energy sector.
The initiative aims to bolster energy security, drive investment, and promote actionable decarbonisation strategies, according to the minister.
IEW 2026 is projected to be the largest edition yet, expecting over 75,000 delegates, more than 600 exhibitors (including 180 from abroad), over 500 international speakers, and 120+ conference sessions.
Confirmed participants include at least 17 Ministers and Deputy Ministers from nations such as the UAE, Canada, the Netherlands, Oman, Brunei, Myanmar, Tanzania, and others, along with international entities like the International Energy Forum, BIMSTEC, and the Eurasian Economic Union, as stated by Puri.
The exhibition will cover 11 thematic zones managed by leading public sector undertakings, focusing on areas such as digitalization, AI, hydrogen, renewable energy, petrochemicals, biofuels, the LNG ecosystem, city gas distribution, Make in India, and net-zero solutions. New thematic additions will include a Nuclear Energy Zone and a Sustainable Aviation Fuel Zone.
Furthermore, eleven country pavilions from nations including Japan, the US, Germany, the UK, Netherlands, Norway, Canada, Russia, and China will enhance international collaboration, according to Puri.
