Mumbai, Aug 4 (NationPress) The home appliances manufacturer Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances Limited reported a significant decline in its net profit for the first quarter of FY26. The company's earnings plummeted by 28.80 percent, settling at Rs 6.43 crore, compared to Rs 9.03 crore in the preceding quarter (Q4 FY25).
For the period of April to June, the Chennai-based firm recorded revenue from operations at Rs 187.36 crore, showing a slight increase of 0.19 percent from Rs 187 crore in Q4 FY25, according to their filing with the stock exchange.
Total income for the quarter was Rs 189.32 crore, reflecting a minor rise of 0.05 percent from Rs 189.23 crore in the previous quarter.
However, total expenses surged by 1.94 percent to Rs 180.65 crore, up from Rs 177.22 crore in Q4. The cost breakdown for the quarter included Rs 100.4 crore for materials consumed, Rs 26.55 crore for employee benefits, Rs 0.72 crore for finance costs, and Rs 5.34 crore for depreciation and amortization.
Swetha Sagar, the Manager and Chief Business Officer, commented on the results, noting that despite weak consumer demand, the company succeeded in generating revenue growth and maintaining strong EBITDA performance.
She emphasized the launch of their new brand positioning, ‘Celebrating Change’, which aims to reinforce their commitment to innovation and market relevance, along with the introduction of the ‘Idea First Series’—a line of industry-first solutions tailored for modern kitchen lifestyles.
“In the face of subdued consumer demand, we have continued to achieve revenue growth and robust EBITDA performance. This quarter marks the beginning of a new journey for us with our refreshed brand positioning, ‘Celebrating Change’, underlining our dedication to innovation and relevance in a fast-evolving market,” stated Sagar.
