New Delhi, July 6 (NationPress) Eternal (previously known as Zomato) has officially named Aditya Mangla as the new CEO of its food ordering and delivery division for a two-year term.
Mangla succeeds Rakesh Ranjan, who has completed his two-year tenure as the CEO of the food ordering and delivery segment, and will no longer hold the title of Senior Management Personnel (SMP) starting July 6, 2025.
This transition follows the board of directors' approval on July 6, 2025.
According to an NSE exchange filing from the company, Mangla is presently the Head of Product for the food ordering and delivery sector at Eternal.
“Since his arrival at Eternal in March 2021, he has undertaken various leadership roles within the food delivery sector, including Head of Supply and Head of Customer Experience, concentrating on optimizing restaurant partner networks and improving customer satisfaction across digital platforms,” the company noted.
Prior to joining Eternal, Mangla occupied senior roles in PnL, product development, and marketing across various startups and tech-focused companies.
Eternal's CEO Deepinder Goyal expressed in an internal memo that this transition marks not just a change of roles but also signifies the type of leadership necessary as the company embarks on its next phase.
“Leadership is not solely about knowing the right actions to take; it involves understanding how to perceive. Recognizing the unseen cause and effect. Observing how a minor adjustment here can lead to significant outcomes there. Acknowledging not just the immediate repercussions but also the subsequent effects of our decisions,” Goyal stated.
“I’ve witnessed these qualities in Aditya repeatedly. He may not be flawless and won’t always make the right choices. No one does. Nevertheless, I trust that he possesses the humility to learn, the capacity to think systemically, and the instinct to take action. Most importantly, he has a good heart,” he added.
Goyal also expressed gratitude towards Rakesh Ranjan for his contributions during his two-year term as CEO of food delivery.
“Rakesh has been instrumental in stabilizing the business and fostering a culture of execution. We appreciate all his efforts,” he concluded.
