GeM's manpower outsourcing offers government buyers an efficient solution for hiring outsourced personnel.

“The achievement of 1 million manpower resources engaged through GeM in FY 2024-25 highlights the increasing confidence and acceptance of the platform among government sectors,” stated the Ministry.

It emphasized that over 33,000 service providers on the site allow buyers to source manpower based on various criteria, including minimum wages and fixed pay.

Roles such as security personnel, horticulture staff, multi-tasking employees, data entry operators, and facility management experts can be recruited via the platform.

“GeM has leveraged digital technologies and has established itself as a comprehensive resource for procuring all types of services needed by government buyers at different administrative levels,” stated Ajay Bhadoo, CEO of GeM.

“Our manpower outsourcing service not only streamlines the recruitment process for government bodies but also guarantees stringent labor compliance through our detailed Service Level Agreement,” Bhadoo added.

Key aspects of GeM's manpower outsourcing service include the ability to choose resources based on skills, profiles, educational background, and experience; specialized role categories to meet specific governmental requirements.

GeM also offers transparent pricing structures, including minimum wage and fixed remuneration options; and a thorough Service Level Agreement framework that ensures legal compliance and clear responsibilities for all involved parties.

The platform complies with labor laws and regulations, ensuring that all transactions fulfill statutory obligations.

Established in 2016, GeM provides government buyers with a complete digital platform for executing public procurement at competitive prices.

In FY 2019-20, the platform broadened its scope to include services as a distinct segment, initially providing basic services such as manpower hiring, cab services, security, and cleaning services.

Over the past five years, GeM has expanded its offerings to include more than 330 services, encompassing intricate options like drone operations, AR/VR services, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
