New Delhi, April 2 (NationPress) The digital procurement platform Government e-Marketplace (GeM) has successfully facilitated the recruitment of over one million workforce resources by government entities during the fiscal year 2024-25, as reported by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday.
GeM's manpower outsourcing offers government buyers an efficient solution for hiring outsourced personnel.
“The achievement of 1 million manpower resources engaged through GeM in FY 2024-25 highlights the increasing confidence and acceptance of the platform among government sectors,” stated the Ministry.
It emphasized that over 33,000 service providers on the site allow buyers to source manpower based on various criteria, including minimum wages and fixed pay.
Roles such as security personnel, horticulture staff, multi-tasking employees, data entry operators, and facility management experts can be recruited via the platform.
“GeM has leveraged digital technologies and has established itself as a comprehensive resource for procuring all types of services needed by government buyers at different administrative levels,” stated Ajay Bhadoo, CEO of GeM.
