New Delhi, Dec 1 (NationPress) The GoIStats mobile application (GoIStats) has surpassed 14,000 downloads, as reported by Rao Inderjit Singh, Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation, in a written statement to the Rajya Sabha on Monday.
The Android version of this mobile app provides access to data from eight statistical products, which include National Accounts Statistics, Consumer Price Index, Household Consumption Expenditure Survey, Periodic Labour Force Survey, Index of Industrial Production, Annual Survey of Industries, Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises, and Economic Census.
These products encompass 11 socio-economic indicators, and the iOS version includes all products except for the Economic Census.
The process of onboarding new visualizations and disaggregated data is ongoing, with updated versions released as new datasets or additions are made, according to the statement.
This mobile application has established a new avenue for on-the-go access to official statistics, complementing other data access channels by providing quick data snapshots, the minister noted.
Launched on June 29, 2025, the app connects users directly to the National Statistical Office (NSO) database.
Features include an interactive “key trends” dashboard showcasing dynamic visualizations of GDP, inflation, and employment data.
Additionally, users can easily access the NSO database through the “Products” section, which allows for one-click CSV downloads.

Furthermore, Singh mentioned that the government has initiated the Global Indices for Reforms and Growth (GIRG) project to track the progress of 26 selected global indices through inter-ministerial coordination to foster reforms and growth.
He explained that the Ministry compiles various indices like Gross Domestic Product (GDP) estimates, monthly Consumer Price Index (CPI), and monthly Index of Industrial Production (IIP) following methodologies that align with international standards.
“The base year of these indices is periodically revised to incorporate methodological improvements in line with international guidelines and to reflect structural changes over time, utilizing the latest available data,” he added.
