HPCL Partners with NLDS for API Integration into Unified Logistics Interface Platform

New Delhi, Dec 16 (NationPress) The prominent public sector oil company Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has entered into a partnership with NICDC Logistics Data Services Ltd (NLDS) to integrate its APIs with the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP), as announced by the Commerce and Industry Ministry on Monday.
The HPCL API linked with ULIP offers Fuel Station & Pricing Visibility, providing real-time insights into the locations and pricing of HPCL fuel stations throughout India. This integration aims to tackle significant logistics challenges, such as the ambiguity regarding refueling options and the variations in fuel prices across different routes. By leveraging this information, logistics service providers, traders, and transporters can enhance their planning and operations, leading to reduced costs and improved efficiency, according to a statement from the ministry.
Moreover, the enhanced visibility of fuel station locations aids logistics operators in avoiding unexpected stops and ensuring more streamlined operations. Fleet operators can also strategically plan long-haul journeys by pinpointing fuel stations along crucial routes, thereby reducing downtime and ensuring timely deliveries.
ULIP serves as a digital gateway enabling industry participants to access logistics-related datasets from various government systems through API-based integration.
During the signing ceremony, Rajat Kumar Saini, Chairman of NLDS, remarked, “The integration of HPCL’s APIs into ULIP will equip logistics operators with essential tools to make data-driven decisions that will positively influence their profits. By facilitating route-specific fuel cost analysis and visibility into fuel station locations, we are addressing major pain points in the logistics sector. This is a pivotal step in ULIP’s objective to unify and digitize India’s supply chain ecosystem.”
Avinash Jain from HPCL highlighted that this integration reinforces HPCL’s dedication to utilizing technology to offer innovative solutions for the logistics sector.
The effects of this integration are already evident, as more than 10 participants in the ongoing ULIP Hackathon 2.0 have chosen HPCL’s API to create innovative solutions. These include tools such as dynamic route optimization platforms, fuel cost calculators, and heat maps illustrating fuel station density along key routes. Such innovations underscore the potential of HPCL’s API to enhance operational efficiencies and stimulate progress within the logistics industry.
This collaboration between HPCL and ULIP emphasizes a shared vision of fostering a more intelligent and efficient logistics ecosystem. By providing real-time data and facilitating seamless access to vital resources, this integration will empower stakeholders, stimulate innovation, and greatly enhance the operational efficiency of India’s logistics and supply chain sector, the statement concluded.
