On the subject of energy capacity, the Minister pointed out that India is among the unique nations where over 50% of its power generation is sourced from clean energy, currently standing at approximately 51%, which offers a substantial edge for the nation.
Regarding India’s homegrown AI models, the minister mentioned that several models introduced at the Summit have undergone testing and evaluation against various criteria.
The IT minister emphasized the necessity of a techno-legal framework to ensure that AI is leveraged positively while mitigating adverse effects. He reaffirmed India’s commitment to the Semiconductor Mission, highlighting that design will be a focal point in Semiconductor 2.0.
Vaishnaw projected that at least 50 deep-tech startups are anticipated to arise from India in the upcoming years, fueled by current innovative and developmental initiatives.
On the inaugural day of the Summit, over 250,000 students pledged to harness AI for responsible innovation. This initiative is being put forth for consideration by Guinness World Records.
