The Adani Group revealed intentions to invest $100 billion by 2035, while Reliance Industries committed $110 billion over the next seven years for AI-centric infrastructure development.
The Tata Group disclosed a collaboration with OpenAI to enhance AI-capable data centers. General Catalyst pledged a $5 billion investment over five years, while Lightspeed Venture Partners announced an investment of $10 billion.
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet and Google, shared details of investments including new India–US subsea cable routes and a $15 billion AI hub in Visakhapatnam. Google will provide training for 20 million civil servants, assist 11 million students, and expand AI research collaborations, as stated in the announcement.
One significant highlight of the Summit was the expansion of India's sovereign computing capacity. In addition to the existing 38,000 GPUs provisioned under the IndiaAI Mission, another 20,000 GPUs are set to be integrated in the upcoming weeks, further enhancing the nation's AI infrastructure.
The Summit attracted considerable attention, with around 600,000 attendees in person and over 900,000 cumulative views from live virtual streaming. Delegations from over 100 countries and 20 international organizations participated in the event.
Additionally, during the Summit, India achieved a Guinness World Record for the “Most pledges received for an AI responsibility campaign in 24 hours,” garnering more than 250,000 validated pledges that reaffirmed the public's commitment to responsible AI adoption.
The ‘India AI Impact Summit Declaration’ was endorsed by 92 countries and international organizations. This Declaration recognizes the efforts made by seven thematic working groups throughout the Summit. The ‘AI Impact Expo’ emerged as one of the largest AI exhibitions worldwide, featuring over 850 exhibitors across 10 thematic pavilions.
