New Delhi, May 7 (NationPress) In light of recent developments, domestic airlines have released updated advisories for air travellers on Wednesday, as they have cancelled additional flights scheduled until May 10. Passengers are urged to verify their flight status before making their way to the airport, as per the instruction from aviation authorities.

Air India announced that its flights to and from several destinations, including Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot, are cancelled until 0529 hrs IST on May 10 due to an official announcement regarding the closure of these airports.

Travellers holding valid tickets for this timeframe will receive a one-time exemption from rescheduling fees or a full refund in case of cancellations, as stated by the airline.

In addition, IndiGo reported that, due to government-imposed airspace restrictions, over 165 flights from various airports, including Amritsar, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Gwalior, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kishangarh, Leh, Rajkot, and Srinagar, are cancelled until 0529 hrs IST on May 10, 2025.

“Customers whose flights are impacted may reschedule their bookings on the next available flight or cancel without incurring extra charges, and a full refund will be initiated. These modifications can be handled directly through our website,” stated the budget airline in a recent update on X.

Previously, SpiceJet mentioned that due to the prevailing circumstances, airports in northern India, including Dharamshala (DHM), Leh (IXL), Jammu (IXJ), Srinagar (SXR), and Amritsar (ATQ), are closed until further notice.

“Departures, arrivals, and subsequent flights may face disruptions. Passengers are advised to adjust their travel plans accordingly and verify flight statuses,” it added.

India successfully executed ‘Operation Sindoor,’ targeting terrorist infrastructure linked with groups accountable for recent attacks.

The Indian government confirmed that all nine targets were effectively struck, ensuring no civilian or military installations in Pakistan were impacted. These airstrikes were a response to the April 22 terror attack that resulted in the deaths of 25 Indians and one Nepali national in Jammu and Kashmir.
