New Delhi, Sep 26 (NationPress) Citizens of India are seeking more proactive, personalised, and seamless public services, with a remarkable 100 percent expressing willingness to engage with AI agents for their interactions with the public sector, according to a report released on Friday.

Government agencies are increasingly exploring avenues to enhance responsiveness, efficiency, and productivity in order to meet the growing expectations of the public.

According to the report by global AI CRM leader Salesforce, 95 percent of Indian citizens are keen on being automatically enrolled in government programs they qualify for. They are looking for a government that can foresee their needs, simplify processes, and deliver services proactively.

Moreover, 94 percent of Indian constituents desire pre-filled forms for government services, while the same percentage is interested in automatic emergency response coordination and receiving personalised notifications.

“India’s digital transformation is among the most ambitious globally, and AI agents offer a significant opportunity to expedite this transition. These agents can transform the way the government serves its citizens, making services faster, more intuitive, and more inclusive,” stated Arundhati Bhattacharya, President and CEO of Salesforce - South Asia.

AI agents can automate high-volume, routine interactions, enabling public servants to concentrate on what humans excel at: applying empathy, creativity, and expertise to complex cases, she added.

The report indicates that 86 percent of Indian constituents expect the government to proactively offer more relevant services.

Key improvements for public sector service delivery include providing 24/7 support, quick responses to citizen needs, and enhanced data security.

The report also revealed that constituents are more likely to utilize an AI agent if it can provide 24/7 access to information and services (70 percent), offer more personalised support (55 percent), ensure the safety of their personal information (53 percent), and assist in efficiently accessing government resources (53 percent).
