Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Dec 16 (NationPress) India is positioning itself as a leader in the realm of AI-driven payroll transformation, as a recent report highlights that 35 percent of companies recognize the adoption of artificial intelligence as the key catalyst for innovation in HR and payroll.
The report from ADP India indicates that this percentage is the highest in the Asia-Pacific region, showcasing India's commitment to payroll innovation over the upcoming two to three years.
Additionally, 68 percent of organizations reported that they are incorporating AI to enhance workflows and lessen their dependency on manual operations.
However, the report underlines a notable concern: only 12 percent of Indian companies have payroll functionalities fully prepared for future requirements, indicating a significant readiness gap that must be addressed to ensure continued growth and resilience.
According to the report, "India's workforce is undergoing a pivotal transformation as organizations adapt to various geographies, generations, and employment models."
Rahul Goyal, Managing Director of ADP India and Southeast Asia, stated that "skills are becoming the new currency, automation is transforming work processes, and employees are seeking work experiences that enhance both productivity and personal well-being."
The report also outlines pivotal HR and payroll trends that are expected to shape workplace strategies by 2026, such as automation as a scalability enabler, advancements in workforce management through biometric tools, a redefined employee value proposition through well-being initiatives, and enhanced digital and transparent pay systems.
Organizations are anticipated to increase investments in biometric systems, reliable mobile attendance tools, and geolocation-enabled solutions for accurate record-keeping. Furthermore, integrated scheduling tools are set to reduce inconsistencies in rosters, fill shift gaps, and optimize resource planning. Real-time dashboards will permit leaders to monitor attendance trends, overtime usage, and absenteeism, converting operational data into strategic insights.
According to the report, "Interactive payslips, digital pay wallets, and earned wage access solutions are expected to gain popularity. Skills-based pay models are projected to expand steadily, especially in technology, GICs, and other specialized service sectors."
