New Delhi, Oct 17 (NationPress) The Founder and Chairman of Vedanta Group, Anil Agarwal, remarked on Friday that the world today cannot progress without India's involvement.
During his address at the NDTV World Summit 2025, Agarwal stated, 'I firmly believe that global advancements stem from what is found beneath the surface.'
In a session titled “Building Bharat: Purpose, Profit, Planet,” Agarwal emphasized India's vast potential in mining and natural resources.
“To advance, we must generate our own gas, copper, silver—everything of value is underground,” he elaborated.
He disclosed that Vedanta meets half of India's silver needs and stressed the necessity for larger corporations to unite in a shared objective to elevate India.
The Vedanta chairman also highlighted the prospects available for the nation's youth.
“Our young generation is brimming with opportunities—they are enthusiastic and ready to make their mark. Indian youth are now eager to fulfill their aspirations right here,” he expressed, showcasing his confidence in the energy and ambition of the younger populace.
Agarwal also noted India's extensive reserves of precious resources, declaring, “India holds the world's finest gold and diamond reserves.”
Reflecting on his personal journey, Agarwal recounted his modest beginnings. “I am just a boy from Bihar with a simple dream—to achieve something,” he shared.
“I had never boarded a plane or a double-decker bus; these were mere dreams. Originally from Rajasthan, I later moved to Bihar,” he reminisced.
The NDTV World Summit 2025 is a two-day event, currently in progress, concluding tomorrow (October 18).
