Karnataka's Mandya District to Boost Employment with ARAI Testing Centre, Says Minister

New Delhi, March 15 (NationPress) The Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel, HD Kumaraswamy, announced that an Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) testing facility is being expedited in Mandya district of Karnataka to generate job opportunities.
Upon receiving the formal land allotment letter, a team of experts from the Centre will travel to Mandya for a site inspection, as reported by the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
“We are steadily working to attract industries to the Mandya Lok Sabha constituency in Karnataka, and the establishment of the ARAI testing centre is currently in progress,” the minister stated.
He reassured citizens that their aspirations would be met and that his ministry is actively pursuing industrial growth in Mandya district.
“The ARAI facility will be set up here, and its establishment will create job opportunities not only for the youth of Mandya but also for those in surrounding districts,” Kumaraswamy emphasized.
His remarks came during a public event where he laid the foundation stone for a Rs 14-crore indoor sports complex at VC Farm in Mandya.
“I have made a commitment, and I intend to honor it,” Kumaraswamy added, noting that progress on the ARAI testing centre is rapidly advancing at the Delhi level, with essential actions being taken to bring the project to Mandya.
He highlighted that the demand for a modern indoor sports complex in Mandya has been long overdue.
“Our promise has now been fulfilled. The foundation stone has been laid, and construction will initiate shortly. We aim to complete the work promptly,” the Union Minister affirmed.
Kumaraswamy expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, for approving the indoor stadium under the Khelo India scheme after his request.
The government, under PM Modi's leadership, prioritizes youth empowerment. The minister noted that the Prime Minister consistently offers guidance during Cabinet meetings on initiatives focused on the welfare and development of young individuals.
