Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, 19 June said the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) is actively generating employment, empowering young Indians, and building a more capable workforce for the country's future. Speaking at an incentive disbursal programme held under the scheme in New Delhi, Modi described the initiative as a cornerstone of the Union government's commitment to youth opportunity.

'PM-VBRY is the identity of a new India. It represents an India where employment generation is at the core of the country's spirit. When youth, government and industry come together, the pace of job creation increases many times over,' Prime Minister Modi said at the event.

He further noted that India is among the world's youngest nations and that the country's journey toward a developed future will be shaped by 'the dreams, skills and capabilities of its youth.' Empowering young people through meaningful employment, he stressed, remains a key priority of the Centre.

'When a young person starts his or her first job, the government stands with them. This gives confidence to employers as well, as they know the entire government ecosystem is supporting the process,' Modi said.
