New Delhi, March 28 (NationPress) - On Saturday, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, called for nominations for the Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar (RVP) 2026, aimed at acknowledging exceptional contributions in the realms of science, technology, and innovation.

The awards are categorized into four segments: Vigyan Ratna for lifetime achievement, Vigyan Shri for notable contributions, Vigyan Yuva-Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar for young scientists (up to 45 years), and Vigyan Team for collaborative excellence involving three or more researchers.
Nominations can be made online via the government’s awards portal from March 28 to May 11, 2026.
In addition, Singh emphasized that these awards symbolize the government’s dedication to nurturing excellence and innovation within the scientific community.
