New Delhi, April 14 (NationPress) QNu Labs, a startup chosen by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under the National Quantum Mission (NQM), announced on Monday the launch of the world’s first and one-of-a-kind platform, QShield, which facilitates effortless management of cryptography across any environment — cloud, on-premises, or hybrid.
In celebration of World Quantum Day, the startup emphasized that QShield enables enterprises to safeguard their critical infrastructure on a large scale.
Founded at the IIT Madras Research Park in 2016, QNu Labs is transforming the landscape of cybersecurity with quantum-safe solutions, establishing India as a pioneer in quantum cryptography.
Incorporating QNu’s proprietary technologies such as Quantum Key Distribution (Armos), Quantum Random Number Generator (Tropos), Quantum Hardware Security Module (QHSM), and NIST-compliant Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), QShield offers a comprehensive solution for protecting sensitive data both in transit and at rest.
The introduction of this platform marks another pivotal milestone in India’s quest for global leadership in quantum technology.
QShield provides various services including Qosmos for key generation, QConnect for secure connectivity, QVerse for secure collaboration, QSFS for secure file storage and sharing, and QVault for key management.
This platform provides enterprises with a pathway to quantum-safe their critical and diverse infrastructures. With integrated management, adaptable deployment options, and straightforward integration with third-party services, QShield empowers enterprises to secure their crucial data today — preparing them for a quantum-secured future.
Earlier today, the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India unveiled the inaugural edition of the International Technology Engagement Strategy for Quantum, representing a significant advancement in defining India's outward-facing strategy in Quantum Science, Technology, and Innovation (QSTI) aimed at accelerating discovery, nurturing innovation, and catalyzing adoption across essential sectors.
The strategy report offers a foundational analysis of the landscape to assist domestic and international stakeholders in government, academia, and industry in developing context-specific action points that align with their engagement objectives, complementing the aspirations of India’s National Quantum Mission (NQM) and ongoing initiatives by various agencies and stakeholders in the ecosystem, according to an official statement.
