Residential Sales Surging: Properties Over Rs 1 Crore Up by 80% in NCR, Rs 2-5 Crore Homes Rise by 38%

New Delhi, Jan 13 (NationPress) With an ongoing demand for spacious homes featuring modern amenities, the National Capital Region (NCR) has reported that properties priced at Rs 1 crore and higher constituted 80% of total residential units sold in 2024, according to a report released on Monday.
Notably, within this price range, the Rs 1 crore-Rs 2 crore and Rs 2 crore-Rs 5 crore brackets experienced the highest activity, fueled by affluent buyers seeking quality living spaces, as stated in the Knight Frank India report.
In 2024, NCR achieved the highest sales volume in the Rs 2 crore-Rs 5 crore category across eight major markets in the country.
Leading the sales with 18,997 units, NCR accounted for 38% of the overall volume in this price segment across the eight markets nationwide. The Rs 2 crore-Rs 5 crore segment in NCR experienced a remarkable growth of 84% compared to the 10,311 units sold in 2023, as per the data.
“Gurugram, along with key areas in Noida and Greater Noida, continues to attract significant interest from buyers in the higher price segment,” remarked Mudassir Zaidi, Executive Director–North, Knight Frank India.
The Rs 1 crore-Rs 2 crore segment reported sales of 19,111 units, marking the highest sales volume for any price bracket in NCR’s residential market, contributing over 33% to the overall residential sales in the region.
Additionally, the segment priced between Rs 5 crore-Rs 10 crore surged by 34.6%, increasing from 5,469 units in 2023 to 7,361 units in 2024.
For properties priced between Rs 10 crore-Rs 20 crore, NCR experienced a 44% increase in sales volume, rising from 275 units in 2023 to 397 units in 2024.
The region also saw significant growth in the category priced over Rs 50 crore, jumping from six units in 2023 to 49 units in 2024, as reported.
