New Delhi, March 13 (NationPress) As part of its strategy to broaden its global presence, Tata Motors unveiled its brand-new lineup of passenger and electric vehicles (EVs) in Sri Lanka on Thursday.

India’s foremost automobile company, in collaboration with its associate DIMO, introduced a new collection of passenger vehicles and EVs in the neighboring nation.

The launch event highlighted Tata Motors’ highly successful SUV series – including the Tata Punch, Tata Nexon, and Tata Curvv.

Additionally, the company released its widely acclaimed electric hatchback, the Tiago.ev.

"We are thrilled to enter Sri Lanka, marking a pivotal moment in our international strategy. Tata Motors has transformed remarkably over the years, and there is no better way to commemorate our return than with an innovative and impactful product range,” stated Yash Khandelwal, Head of International Business, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility.

“Our products are crafted to not only enchant the Sri Lankan audience but also to establish new benchmarks—merging bold aesthetics, state-of-the-art features, premier safety, and exceptional after-sales service,” he added.

The Tiago.ev has already garnered attention in India, Nepal, and Bhutan by making electric mobility both attainable and desirable.

According to Rajeev Pandithage, Executive Director of DIMO, they are excited to continue their collaboration with Tata Motors, being the first passenger vehicle brand to re-enter Sri Lanka after the market reopening.

“The new range of ICE and Electric Vehicles sets a fresh standard in the automotive industry, representing innovation, safety, and sustainability at a highly competitive price,” he noted.

All passenger vehicles from Tata Motors will include a manufacturer’s warranty of three years or 100,000 km, while electric vehicles will carry a warranty of three years or 125,000 km.

Moreover, the high-voltage battery and motor in the EV are covered by an eight-year or 165,000 km warranty, the company confirmed.
