New Delhi, April 16 (NationPress) Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai, Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, and renowned chef Vikas Khanna have been recognized in the latest issue of TIME magazine as part of the '100 Most Influential People of 2026'.

This year's selection emphasizes trailblazers from various fields whose contributions are shaping global conversations through innovation, artistry, leadership, and societal influence, highlighting the increasing significance of Indian figures on the international stage.

Among the 'titans', Sundar Pichai was acknowledged for his pivotal role in advancing artificial intelligence within Google’s vast network.

Under his leadership, AI innovations have been seamlessly embedded in products like Search, Android, and Chrome, with the company intensifying its initiatives in the sector through the Gemini platform amid escalating global competition.

AI specialist Andrew Ng, who penned Pichai’s profile in TIME, remarked that in a time when artificial intelligence is transforming knowledge and labor, Pichai’s impact is seen in “the breadth of its application”.

On the 'artist' list, Ranbir Kapoor was celebrated for his unique acting approach and subtle performances, which have significantly altered audience perceptions in Indian cinema.

His filmography has also played a crucial role in introducing Indian narratives to a broader international audience.

Additionally, chef Vikas Khanna was honored for his culinary mastery as well as his humanitarian and cultural efforts. His initiatives have been recognized for bridging cultural divides through food while showcasing Indian heritage on a global scale.

Chef Eric Ripert, who wrote Khanna’s profile, noted that Khanna’s influence extends beyond success to “uplifting and connecting people”. He highlighted that through his restaurant Bungalow, Khanna has crafted an environment where food serves as a narrative steeped in memory and tradition.

Other notable honorees include YouTube CEO Neal Mohan, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Pope Leo XIV, Artemis II mission commander Reid Wiseman, US President Donald Trump, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Several prominent Asian leaders also made the list, including Japan’s first female Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and Nepal’s young Prime Minister Balendra Shah.
