Pichai characterized this moment as a "transformational phase".

"We are witnessing the dawn of a decade-long evolution driven by technology, innovation, and the widespread adoption of AI," he remarked.

He emphasized that India is in a unique position to harness the advantages of artificial intelligence, but cautioned that this potential comes with a significant obligation.

"The nation must prioritize substantial investments in AI research and ensure that AI is utilized across various sectors," he mentioned.

He underscored the necessity of establishing the foundational elements of AI so that its benefits permeate all aspects of the economy and society.

In light of India’s swift digital advancement, Pichai noted that the country has experienced an extraordinary transformation in recent times.

"Indian users rank among the highest globally in adopting voice and image-based search, illustrating how rapidly people in India accept new technologies," he observed.

Furthermore, he stated that India has become one of the largest markets for Gemini, highlighting the increasing significance of AI tools among Indian users.

Pichai also addressed the importance of preparing young minds for a future dominated by technology. He announced that Alphabet is collaborating with Atal Tinkering Labs to introduce robotics and coding into educational settings.

This initiative aims to foster innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills among students from a young age.

Pichai remarked that India’s scale, talent, and digital engagement position it as a key player in the global AI landscape.

"With appropriate investments and policies, AI can serve as a powerful instrument for inclusive growth and long-term transformation in the nation," he stated.

Earlier on Wednesday, Pichai mentioned that Google is integrating AI at all levels in India to enhance healthcare, support startups, agriculture, and more.

He met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss India’s advancements in AI and explore how Google can collaborate with the nation’s talented youth and professionals.

PM Modi remarked that their conversation centered around India’s rapid advancements in AI and opportunities for deeper collaboration between the government and Google in this domain.
