In an interview with IANS, as the film approaches its 50th anniversary, Sippy reflected on his experience at the City Light cinema. The owner had pointed out, ‘Look around, no one is leaving for a cold drink.’ He explained that during the interval, the audience remained glued to their seats, showing unparalleled attentiveness, as if they had never witnessed anything like it before.
