Chennai, May 14 (NationPress) The audio of director Mani Ratnam's eagerly anticipated action spectacle, 'Thug Life', starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role, is set to be unveiled at a spectacular event on May 24, as announced by the filmmakers on Wednesday.
The production house Raaj Kamal Films International, led by Kamal Haasan, issued a statement confirming that the film's trailer will debut on May 17, followed by the audio launch with a live performance by A R Rahman at Sairam College in Chennai.
In its statement, Raaj Kamal Films noted, "Recently, we paused our festivities to show solidarity with our nation. We are immensely thankful for the understanding and support of our global audience. With a renewed sense of purpose, we are ready to continue the 'Thug Life' journey.

Mark these dates: Thug Life Trailer Launch at 5 PM on May 17, 2025, followed by the Thug Life Audio Launch (LIVE performance by A R RAHMAN & team) at Sairam College, Chennai on May 24. Originally, the audio launch was planned for May 16. However, due to rising tensions along the country's borders, the team decided to postpone the event.
In a prior statement, Kamal Haasan expressed, "Art can wait. India comes before all. Given the current situation at our border, we have chosen to delay the audio launch of 'Thug Life', originally set for the 16th of May."
He further emphasized, "As our soldiers bravely defend our nation, it is a time for solidarity rather than celebration. We will announce a new date when the time is more fitting."
He added, "Our thoughts are with the valiant men and women of our armed forces. It is our responsibility to respond with restraint. Celebration should give way to reflection."
'Thug Life', directed by Mani Ratnam, stars Kamal Haasan and includes actors Silambarasan, Trisha, Joju George, Ashok Selvan, and Abhirami in key roles.
