During the 56th International Film Festival of India, Aamir expressed his deep bond with Dharmendra, particularly in the final year of his life. He shared that he visited Dharmendra approximately 7 to 8 times, and during one of these visits, he felt it was essential for Azad to meet the iconic actor, whose legacy he had yet to explore.
Aamir reflected on Dharmendra’s illustrious career, stating, “I grew up admiring him. He was celebrated as the action hero, the quintessential he-man, excelling in portraying strong roles in action films. Yet, I believe his remarkable performances in romance and various genres often go unnoticed.”
